From the Chair of Palliative Care South Australia Board:
RE: Appointment of new CEO – Mr Tony Lawson and update on PCSA
I am writing to advise you of the appointment of our new CEO, Mr. Tony Lawson. Tony brings a wealth of community and healthcare skills as well as strong management credentials. Tony has been a CEO in State and Local Government and for many years through his management consultancy practice, has undertaken health related assignments, particularly in Indigenous Health and health policy and management. Tony is also chair of a national health peak body, Consumers Health Forum of Australia and is also a board Director on the Australian Council of Healthcare Standards, the largest safety and quality accreditation agency in Australia. We are delighted that he is supporting the activities of our organisation.
We also have a new Community Engagement and Events Co-ordinator, Emma Little who has relocated from Sydney. Emma has broad skills and experience and we are delighted that she has joined the team. The continuing hard work and dedication of Mr. John McMahon who manages the Program in the Palliative Approach (PEPA) and Ms. Sally Harrison, our Administration Officer is something that I wish to particularly highlight. We are truly fortunate to have such a dedicated staff with such complementary and broad skills.
There are many issues in which PCSA as the peak body for palliative care in South Australia is actively engaged. The Board of PCSA is committed to broadening our reach into the community through policy, advocacy and engagement.
We value the ongoing support of your organisation. On behalf of the PCSA Board I thank you for your continuing support of PCSA.
Please make contact Tony on firstname.lastname@example.org or phone our office 8271 1643 if you would like to arrange a time to meet with our staff or discuss any issues.
Prof Greg Crawford
Chairman of Board
